Integrate dry-gas and vent filtration from single-use assemblies to production systems.

Hydrophobic PTFE, PVDF and PES membranes support contamination-controlled filtration of air, process gases and vessel vents. Disc, capsule and cartridge formats cover small disposable assemblies, production tanks, bioreactors and compatible compressed-gas systems.

Hydrophobic media and pore-size selection

Balance microbial-retention requirements with gas flow under actual service conditions.

PTFE, PVDF and PES hydrophobic membranes resist liquid wetting while allowing gas flow. Select the medium and pore rating for the required claim, gas chemistry, humidity, sterilization conditions and exposure to condensate, aerosols or process vapors.

Required flow, pressure drop, humidity, condensate exposure, sterilization conditions and the consequences of partial membrane wetting should be defined before final filter sizing.

Critical vent filters should have a defined integrity-test strategy before and after use where required. Installation design should support drainage and minimize condensate contact with the membrane.

Define maximum gas flow and the highest acceptable differential pressure under normal and upset conditions.

Confirm whether the duty requires sterile-gas performance, microbial reduction or particulate control.

Gas compatibility

Provide gas composition and any solvent, product-vapor or chemical exposure that may contact the filter.

Humidity and condensate

Assess aerosol loading, expected condensation and the effect of partial wetting on available airflow.

Availability depends on the selected medium, pore size, filtration area and filter format. Not every option is available in every combination. Compatibility must be confirmed for gas composition, humidity, temperature, sterilization, condensate and vapor exposure.
