Match filter format to development, pilot or production duty.

The portfolio is designed to clarify life-science process fluids, remove suspended solids and protect downstream equipment and membrane filters. Disc, capsule and cartridge formats support screening through production-scale processing, with media selected around particle load, viscosity, chemical composition and sensitivity to product adsorption.

Media and retention selection

Balance particle removal, throughput and downstream protection.

PP, glass fiber, PES, PVDF, MCE and nylon media cover coarse clarification through fine particulate control. A tighter retention rating may increase particle removal but can reduce throughput when processing highly loaded fluids.

The required retention rating and filtration area should be established with representative fluid because particle-size distribution and fouling behavior can vary substantially between processes.

Define clarity, loading, recovery and processing limits.

For highly loaded fluids, evaluate PP or glass-fiber media before tighter membrane media. Final sizing should use throughput and pressure-rise data generated with representative process material.

Provide total particle load, particle-size distribution and the presence of colloids or aggregates.
